It should be possible to read each other's redaction depending on some clue.

New redactions could be set to 'red_with' for some children:

  • default_redaction_status defined in the parent

Or for the whole site:

  • site.default_redaction_status

Another idea would be to set the default redaction status in groups. We use the read group. 

On create => rgroup.red_status
On save   => rgroup.red_status

If rgroup.red_status = pub, no need to have publish rights = wiki solution !!
